"I did a lot of research on kayak rental companies in Wilmington, and Wilmington Outdoor Adventures offered the best value for a longer rental period. We paid $55 each for single kayaks, with a generous time frame of about 1–5 hours. Erin, the staff member who dropped off the kayaks, was fantastic, she gave us great tips on navigating to the islands, advice for finding shark teeth, and even provided sifters along with a shark tooth identification guide.
We paddled to Shark Tooth Island, spent about three hours exploring, then headed over to Kegs Island. It was the perfect day on the water! I highly recommend this company. They also offer guided tours, but we chose the rental option so we could explore at our own pace."

WOA Tours & Programs Cancellation Policy
At Wilmington Outdoor Adventures (WOA), we offer tours with limited availability to ensure a personalized experience for each participant. Due to the nature of our programs and the costs associated with planning, preparation, and equipment, we are unable to recover expenses in the event of cancellations—regardless of the reason, including illness, injury, late arrival, early departure, or any other unforeseen circumstances. By registering for a tour, you are agreeing to the terms of this cancellation policy.
If you need to cancel your reservation, the following terms apply:
Full Refund:
If you cancel more than 60 days before your scheduled paddle, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations must be received via email at ilmoutdooradventures@gmail.com at least 60 days prior to the event to qualify for a full refund.
50% Refund:
If you cancel between 60 and 7 days prior to the event, you will receive a 50% refund of the total cost.
No Refund:
If you cancel within 7 days of the scheduled paddle, no refund will be issued.
Inclement Weather Policy:
In the event of an inclement weather forecast, including high winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme heat, Wilmington Outdoor Adventures will first try to relocate or reschedule the tour to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. If rescheduling or relocating the tour is not possible, WOA will provide a full refund. Please note that the final decision regarding weather-related cancellations will be made by WOA to prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants.

We are unable to make exceptions to this policy for reasons such as weather (outside of the inclement weather policy above), illness, emergencies, natural disasters, civil unrest, travel restrictions, pandemics (including COVID-19), or other global or local events.

WOA reserves the right to alter or cancel aspects of a program, including the itinerary, dates, location, and duration, due to unforeseen circumstances, weather, or other factors beyond our control.

There will be no refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or for any services not used during the tour.
